Frontline Worker Appreciation

Recent spikes of COVID infections and related hospitalizations have left essential workers overwhelmed, tired, and even sick themselves. We reached out to contacts at the Gadsden area hospitals for suggestions on how ATCU could help lift spirits and landed on sweet treats and coffee gift cards! We partnered with Creative Cakes & Cookies and packaged gifts of holiday hot chocolate bombs, Chex mix, candy and cookies along with a Starbucks Giftcard. Over 350 of these packages were given to Gadsden Regional and Riverview Medical Centers employees.
Several ATCU staff members also delivered sandwich trays to the entire Gadsden Fire Department for lunch on Thursday. It was a perfect day as they were all taking turns passing out Toys from Santa gifts to needy families and didn't have time to prepare lunch as usual.
The special people who perform these selfless jobs day in and day out definitely deserve more than the recognition we are able to provide. However, we hope these small gestures show each of them they are very loved and appreciated!
